Revelation 10 Devotion

Do you have any songs that can get stuck in your head all day? Songs like…. Baby Shark, Ice Ice Baby, Walking in Memphis…… One Christian song that plays through my head a lot is called, Awesome God by Rich Mullins, but sung by Michael W. Smith. ”Our God is an awesome God. He reigns from heaven above. With wisdom, power, and love. Our God is an awesome God” (Awesome God by Rich Mullins). In Revelation 10 we see how awesome, and mighty, and powerful just an angel of God can be. Check this out! “Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, surrounded by a cloud, with a rainbow over his head. His face shone like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire. And in his hand was a small scroll that had been opened. He stood with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. And he gave a great shout like the roar of a lion. And when he shouted, the seven thunders answered. He swore an oath in the name of the one who lives forever and ever, who created the heavens and everything in them, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it. He said, “There will be no more delay. When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, God’s mysterious plan will be fulfilled. It will happen just as he announced it to his servants the prophets.” (Revelation‬ ‭10:1-3, 6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬). This chapter can be a bit confusing. However, this is for sure… The God that we serve and worship is the Creator of all. He loves each of us and wants us to spend eternity with Him. He is not shy about His love or intentions for us. He sends a giant angel from Heaven in glory and beauty to, once again, get our attention before final judgement. As you read this chapter praise God for His perfect grace and His perfect power. Never forget that Jesus loves you and He is crazy about you. So much so that He is sending His angels to get your attention.
